A Gift They’ll Write With for Years
We engrave names, initials or a short line on most pens in this shop — up to 30 characters in script, serif or block capitals, from £12. Engraving adds two working days before dispatch. Add the wording in the order comment and we’ll send a proof by email before we cut.
Every order can travel in our gift box with a handwritten card at no extra cost, and the parcel goes without a price slip. Buying for a team or clients? We quote for 10 pens or more with your company name, a shared message or individual names.

Which nib width should I choose?
Extra fine and fine draw a 0.3–0.5 mm line and suit small handwriting, diaries and cheap paper. Medium (about 0.6 mm) is the everyday choice. Broad lays down 0.8 mm or more and shows off ink shading in signatures and cards. Japanese nibs write roughly one size finer than European ones.
Cartridge, converter or piston filler?
Cartridges are clean and quick to swap — ideal for travel and first pens. A converter lets the same pen draw from any bottle. Piston fillers hold the most ink, often 1.2 ml or more, and are filled straight from the bottle.
Does the body material matter?
It changes weight and balance more than the writing itself. Resin and acrylic are light and warm in the hand for long sessions. Brass and steel feel solid and sit low in the hand. Aluminium is light but cool to the touch. If you write for hours, choose something under 25 g.
How is my order delivered?
Every order goes as a tracked, insured and signed-for parcel within the UK. We dispatch in 1–2 working days (add two for engraving) and delivery usually takes 1–3 working days after that. Delivery is £4.95, free on orders over £75.
Can I return a pen?
Yes. Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 you have 14 days from delivery to cancel, and a further 14 days to send the item back unused for a full refund. Engraved and personalised items are made to your instructions, so they can’t be returned unless faulty.
How do you take payment?
Card details are entered on our payment provider’s secure page and processed by them — we never see or store your full card number. See our Privacy Policy for details.
